Case study describing a DOE Zero Energy Ready Home 2020 Housing Innovation Award winning affordable home in the cold climate that used above-grade walls filled with 5.5 inches of open-cell spray foam and sheathed with an R-6.5 insulated coated OSB sheathing, providing a continuous air barrier and total insulation value of R-31, resulting in a HERS score of -7 with PV and 34 without PV.
