HVAC Contractor Holds Credentials Necessary to Complete the HVAC System QI Contractor Checklist

Builders, raters, and installers use this portion (Section 1) of the HVAC System Quality Installation Rater Checklist (HVAC/R) to confirm and document that the contractor has completed proper procedures and processes in sizing HVAC equipment.

The numbers in parentheses (included in the measures in this Section 1) refer to measures included in the HVAC System Quality Installation Contractor Checklist (HVAC/C). Footnotes:

If any Item in Sections 6 through 12 of the HVAC System QI Contractor Checklist is applicable to the home and, therefore, completed by an HVAC contractor, then the Rater must confirm that the contractor holds the necessary credentials. HVAC contractors must be credentialed by an EPA-recognized HVAC Quality Installation Training and Oversight Organization (HQUITO).
